Survivors: Wife, Evelyn Adams of Glen Rose son, Wayland Adams Jr. He served in the Marines during World War II. He was a past patron of the Order of the Eastern Star. Adams served as past president of the Somervell County Historical Society and the Somervell County American Cancer Society. He was also a charter member and past president of the Johnson/Somervell Counties Scottish Rite Club. He was a charter member of the Granbury Scottish Rite Club. He was a 32nd degree member of Scottish Rite of Free Masonry and was awarded the Golden Trowel for his Masonic work. He was past District Deputy and Grand Master of the 65th Masonic district. Adams was past worshipful master of the Glen Rose Masonic Lodge. Martin's Funeral Home in Cleburne is in charge of arrangements. Masonic burial will be in Rock Creek Cemetery near Glen Rose. today at First Baptist Church in Glen Rose, where he was a member.
